A note from the owner
Why I chose this drum.
So many of us say we "don't play anything." Usually that's because every instrument we tried made us sit through weeks of wrong notes first. I wanted something you could hand to anyone, a six-year-old or a grandparent, and hear music on the very first tap.
That's why I chose this drum. Every one is hand-tuned, by ear, one drum at a time, with no machine tuning. Each tongue is set into the same pentatonic scale before the drum is packed: 9 notes on the Standard, 15 on the XXL, all in agreement with each other. Tuning by hand is the slow step, and it's the step that leaves no wrong note to find.
What you get is an instrument that asks nothing of you but curiosity. Fingertips or a passing rain shower: whatever you do, it sounds like it belongs.

Tuned by hand, one scale
Every tongue is tuned by ear into the same pentatonic scale, one drum at a time, 9 on the Standard and 15 on the XXL. Play them fast, slow, together or at random and they still agree with each other.
Numbers, not notation
Every tongue carries a number, so a tune you like is easy to find again. Tap 3, 5, 6, 5, and there's your tune.
Two ways to play
Fingertips for a soft, round note. Or set it out in a light rain and let the drops pick the notes, then bring it in and wipe it dry. No rain? A watering can does the same.
Small enough to come along
The Standard drum is listed at 10 × 10 cm (4 in). It sits on a desk without taking over and slips into a tote or a bedside drawer. Want more drum? Choose the XXL Premium: 15 notes and a braided cord around the rim.

Every drum is tuned by hand, so pitch and finish can vary slightly from one drum to the next. That's the hand at work, not a flaw. Keep it dry between rain showers: wipe it with a soft dry cloth and never submerge it.

You have 30 days after your order arrives to request a return. Items must be unused, in the same condition you received them, with tags and original packaging, plus proof of purchase. Email support@homeofcraft.com to start; items sent back without a return request can't be accepted. Return shipping is paid by the customer, unless your item arrived damaged or wrong, in which case we cover it. Sale items can be returned on the same terms. Approved refunds go to your original payment method within 10 business days. Shipping into the EU? You can also cancel or return within 14 days for any reason, under the same condition rules.
