Why I chose this bag.
Summer calendars fill up with brunches, weddings and long dinners, and each one seems to want a different bag. I wanted one bag that could handle all of them and still feel special every time you pick it up.
This one is hand-woven, with its edges finished by hand. The cotton top handle is braided by hand, and a 38-inch cross-body strap comes with it. Two bronze hooks let you swap one strap for the other, so the same bag goes from your wrist at noon to your hip by sunset.
Handwork gives it something a stamped-out bag never has: a weave that's slightly its own, a braid finished by hand, a shape that feels like a find. Because it is one.
